Dancing With the Stars went back to the future Monday night, as the show's theme saw the remaining contestants performing dances in both the ballroom style and in the dress and swagger of eras ranging from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even the future.

ESPN's Erin Andrews and her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy electrified the ballroom floor with an 80s-inspired rumba, and ended the evening with an impressive total of 53/60 points for the night. Chmerkovskiy, clad in a lavender-white get-up straight out of Miami Vice, said that the evening was a breakthrough for Andrews, who put it all together in a "leap of Dancing With the Stars fate."
When asked about the 80s, Andrews, clad in a Flashdance-esque outfit, joked, "I was born in 1991, so I don't know really." (We checked -- Erin was born May 4, 1978, and celebrated her 32nd birthday last week.)
Niecy Nash, who performed a 90s-inspired Paso Doble, said that during the Clinton years, she was a "wife, mother and a struggling artist."
Nicole Scherzinger led the pack Monday with 59 out of 60 points, while Evan Lysacek and Andrews tied for second with 53 points a piece; Chad Ochocinco scored 45 points and Nash scored 43.
Dancing With the Stars returns at 8/7c Tuesday on ABC.
