Media reports surfaced Thursday morning that Michael Lohan was giving his daughter, Lindsay Lohan, a reprieve regarding potential legal action he was planning to take.

RadarOnline.com has learned though that the reports are false and that Michael has no intention of backing down or giving up on his troubled daughter.

Michael's powerhouse attorney, Lisa Bloom tells RadarOnline.com,"I did send a very strong letter on Michael's behalf to Lindsay and her attorney on Monday and the letter said that Michael wants Lindsay to go to rehab and if she doesn't, he is reserving all of his legal rights including asking the judge handling Lindsay's probation for random drug testing, random searches of home, person and property by police and extending the term of her probation by one year or more.

“Other legal options would include moving for a conservatorship. Lindsay has refused to meet with Michael and me and all legal options remain open."

Bloom went on to say that, "Michael has not agreed to back down. All legal options are on the table and our next step is to ask the judge if she finds that Lindsay is in violation of probation to order her into to rehab. Michael loves Lindsay and doesn't want to resort to legal action. He has given her many chances, but he is a father that loves his daughter.

“Michael wants her to get help. And he’s ready willing and able to help her get the help she needs. I would say really from the heart that Michael is in a bind. He really loves her. No father wants his daughter to go to jail or meet a potential end that many Hollywood stars have met.

“If this is what it takes to get her help, then he’s going to do it."
