Diff’rent Strokes star Todd Bridges is “distraught” over the news that his co-star’s son has committed suicide, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Diff’rent Strokes Star Dana Plato’s Son Commits Suicide
The son of Dana Plato, who played Kimberly Drummond on the 80s sitcom, took his own life almost exactly 11 years to the day after she did the very same thing.
Todd Bridges’ publicist says he and Dana was close friends until she died in 1999, and says “he was shocked by the news.”
Plato’s son, 25-year-old Tyler Lambert, reportedly suffered depression around the anniversary of his mother’s death. Plato died of an intentional drug overdose in on May 8, 1999. Taylor committed suicide on May 6, 2010.

The National Enquirer reports that Tyler was so obsessed by his mother that he recently honored her by getting teardrop tattoos on his face with her ashes added to the ink. He also had a tattoo on his forearm with his mother’s name.
