Dancing With The Stars’ judge Bruno Tonioli doesn't mince words.

RadarOnline.com has a clip of the charismatic judge on Lopez Tonight Wednesday, where he gave a brutal assessment of Kate Gosselin's dancing skills to date.

"Kate is pretty dreadful -- she's crap," he said, to cheers from the studio audience. "But in a nice way."

Tonioli's comments came after Kate looked stiff and awkward during her interpretation of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi Monday; her dance set to Elton John's I'm Still Standing a week prior to didn't impress anyone either.

Gosselin, Tonioli said, "is entertaining. People like disaster movies; we've got our own disaster movie there everyday. I'll tell you, 2012 is nothing compared to the catastrophe she produces."

Tonioli said that in spite of her ballroom shortcomings, it's evident that Kate's doing her best.

"She is a tough cookie, he said. "She gets it in the face, she comes back and she tries to get better ... but it doesn't really work."
