From Speed To Scandal: Sandra's Girl-Next-Door Glam Style Evolution
April 3 2010, Published 12:30 p.m. ET
Sandra Bullock became a household name in 1995, when she costarred in the action hit Speed, and hasn't slowed down since. Finally achieving the film industry's top honors this year by winning the Academy Award for her performance in The Blind Side, her moment of glory was shattered when reports surfaced of her husband's scandalous cheating. As the public stands by Sandra, who has finally surfaced after weeks of hiding, we are reminded of why we fell in love with her in the first place.
Sandra Bullock has always evoked a girl-next-door vibe. Even when she hits the red carpet in the glammest of couture, she manages to avoid going over the top (minus a few fashion flubs along the way!) by sticking to timeless creations with updated twists. Even though she has a covetable figure, she has never been one to flaunt it.
Though Sandra dabbles in multiple designer duds, she has always had a soft spot for the recently deceased Alexander McQueen. Over the years, she walked various red carpets in the iconic designer's creations, most notably, gowned in a stunning, short-sleeved, cobalt blue, embellished floorlength, at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this year.
