Madonna brought her adopted children David and Chifundo "Mercy" James back to their native homeland of Malawi for a visit on Monday, and has all the pictures for you.

The Material Girl, who also brought daughter Lourdes along, is in the country for a week-long tour, and will also visit a number of establishments she has donated millions to.

On Tuesday, the Like A Prayer singer is slated to lay the first brick during a groundbreaking ceremony for the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, a $15 million institution funded by the philanthropic pop star that is slated to open next year.

"It pains me to see children denied their most basic needs to survive because they were born into poverty," Madonna said, according to Mirror UK. "I have started many projects to try to make a difference to their lives and this village is one of my proudest achievements."
