Madonna broke ground at a ceremony for a school she’s building in the Malawian village of Chinkhota Tuesday, and RadarOnline.com has all the pictures for you.
The festivities were to celebrate the construction of the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls, a $15 million institution funded by the philanthropic pop star that is slated to open next year.
“The brick I will lay is not just the bedrock to a school," Madonna said, according to CNN. "It is the foundation for our shared future."
The Vogue singer brought all four of her kids -- her biological children, Lourdes and Rocco, and her adopted kids Mercy and David Banda (both native Malawians) on the trip, which will last the remainder of the week.
