NEW DEVELOPMENTS: Fights, Furniture Thrown In Hours Before Woman Strangled To Death In Mexico

The wife of a reality-TV pioneer was strangled hours before her husband reported the woman missing in Mexico.
O Globo newspaper in Rio is reporting Monica Beresford-Redman was killed between 11 and 11:59 p.m. on Monday in Cancun, according to the official coroner’s report.

Bruce Beresford-Redman -- a producer of the hit reality show "Survivor" and co-creator of "Pimp My Ride" -- told Mexican authorities the next day she was missing.

And guests at the hotel where the couple was staying have reported hearing noises from the couple’s hotel room as early as dawn on Monday.

Witnesses have told authorities they noticed screams from a female and furniture being thrown from the couple’s room.
They also report them fighting Sunday and Monday nights.

Bruce, 38, who reportedly had scratches on his neck when police questioned him, said he last saw his Brazilian-born wife Monday morning when she left alone to shop and get a massage.

The woman suffered blows to the head and her body was found in a sewer, about 80 yards from the couple's hotel.
Bruce has been released from police custody after being interrogated.
