The stars hit the red carpet Monday night for the world premiere of Iron Man 2 at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood, and RadarOnline.com was front-and-center.

Iron Man's main man Robert Downey Jr. -- who reprises his role as billionaire adventurer Tony Stark -- was the 'belle of the ball', and all of the stars gushed about how great it was working with him. Still, many told us they didn't want his iron man heart! (Who can blame them?)

The legendary Hugh Hefner showed up with only one blonde in tow, but, surprisingly, he's not impressed by Iron Man! When asked what he'd do with Iron Man's heart, he quipped: "I'd never want to trade places with Iron Man".

Since the movie centers on a character that goes through a huge change later in life, RadarOnline.com reporter Viviana Vigil asked the A-List crowd if they've ever experienced a rite of passage that changed their lives.

Samuel Jackson shared the same rite of passage as Robert Downey Jr., saying: "I got sober in my mid-forties."

Some of Hollywood's most beautiful women, Scarlett Johansson & Gwyneth Paltrow were on hand, and Don Cheadle told us he was proud of how women were portrayed in the film. "They're portrayed as three dimensional strong characters, not just there to show that the lead has sex, so that's good," he told us.

Iron Man 2 opens in the United Kingdom on April 29, and in North America on May 7.
