He has survived a lot of double teams in the NBA, but this is one that Shaquille O’Neal can’t seem to beat: his wife and mistress have teamed up against him, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.

And they are using the same investigator who has uncovered, what they say, is a significant amount of damaging information against the NBA superstar.

Shaq’s wife Shaunie filed for divorce in November, 2009 and while trying to improve her financial settlement she hired an investigator to dig up dirt on her husband, a source tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.

The investigator discovered Shaq’s multi-year relationship with Vanessa Lopez, who is now represented by Los Angeles powerhouse attorney Gloria Allred and suing Shaq.

Shaq has a prenuptial agreement with his wife and she needed information that he cheated to use as leverage for a better financial settlement, the source said.

And Shaunie got the leverage. In fact, after Shaunie discovered her husband’s long-running affair with Lopez and she approached Lopez – but not to rip into her, instead Shaunie wanted the affair made public!

“Shaunie tried to convince Vanessa to go public about the affair before Vanessa did go public,” the source told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “And she wanted Vanessa to go to the police too, based on allegations she heard about Shaq harassing her.

“What she discovered about Shaq and Vanessa, gave Shaunie the ammunition she needed to file for divorce and try to get the money she wants.”

Vanessa didn’t come forward when Shaunie asked her to, but Shaunie’s request set in motion the events that led Vanessa to publicly reveal her affair with the NBA star.

It also gave her evidence for the lawsuit she filed against Shaq earlier this year. As RadarOnline.com was first to report, Lopez claims Shaq harassed her and even enlisted friends to intimidate her.

She is suing him for assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy and other charges.

COURT DOCUMENTS: Read Lopez’ Lawsuit Against Shaq

“Shaunie’s investigator found emails and voice mails that will hurt Shaq in the divorce,” the source said.

And RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that Lopez now has much of the same material Shaunie does, including voice mails that she believes prove Shaq harassed her and will help her win a civil suit against him.

Shaq’s wife hired the investigator at the end of the summer of 2009.The investigator discovered the affair with Lopez.

“Shaunie wanted out of the marriage for a long time and because of her prenup she wanted to prove infidelity and mental abuse,” the source said. “That would give her more money.”

Shaunie even believes that someone put a GPS tracking system on her car and as she uncovered Shaq’s secrets with her investigator she not only filed for divorce but went to Lopez and worked with the mistress to double team O’Neal.

Lopez was disgusted by the information Shaunie shared and RadarOnline.com has learned that she has several voicemails of Shaq talking about the situation and admitting to some of the things his wife is charging behind the scenes.

Those voice mails have been turned over to Lopez’ lawyer.

Lawyer Announces Mistress Will Sue Shaq

Now, both his wife and mistress believe they have tremendous leverage against Shaq and both a proceeding with their court actions against him.
