The number-one fitness craze in Tinseltown doesn't involve a ballet barre, pole, or single om. Across Los Angeles, celebrities like Yvonne Strahovski are doing sports-inspired workouts such as this one, designed by Yvonne's Beverly Hills trainer, Michelle Lovitt. "Athletes don't just use dumbbells—they incorporate gear like kettlebells and sandbags into their routines too," says Michelle, who also trains Courteney Cox. "Your muscles have to work harder to stabilize these tools, which can help you see results faster." And when you're shaping up for a role, quick is key. Yvonne's sexy, toned body should provide just the motivation you need to start sculpting like a star today. It's the perfect celebrity workout to get you in fabulous shape.
The Celebrity Workout Plan
HOW IT WORKS: Three times a week, do 1 set of 8 to 12 reps of each move in order, without resting between sets. Do cardio for 5 minutes, then repeat the entire circuit once or twice.
YOU'LL NEED: A 10-pound sandbag (or bag of rice), a pair of 4- to 6- kilogram kettlebells (or 8- to 15-pound dumbbells), a figure-eight resistance tube (or band), and a 6- to 10-pound weighted ball. (find gear at theshapestore.com and performbetter.com).
