Sandra Bullock’s husband had special visitors waiting to greet him on his return home on Wednesday: officials from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Jim Amormino and a female sheriff’s deputy stood guard outside Jesse James and Bullock’s home as photographers captured every moment. James soon appeared, driving up in a new black Jaguar. After a quick word with Amormino and the officer, James pulled into his garage.

When reached by RadarOnline.com, an official at the Sheriff’s office downplayed the incident, citing the constant media watch on James as the probable reason for the visit.

"Citizens around that area, neighbors, have been complaining for days about the news vans. They've been unhappy about all the commotion. It's a really tiny area and the vans and crews are clogging the area," the official said.

As for whether James himself has called the department directly to complain, the official replied, "I wouldn't know that and wouldn't disclose that if I did."
