Robert Pattinson opened up about his controversial Details magazine spread Monday morning on the Today Show, where he sat down with Matt Lauer to promote his upcoming film Remember Me.
RadarOnline.com has the clip in which RPattz talks about the shoot, in which he was surrounded by a bevy of naked women.
Pattinson said he offered to do a naked photo shoot, but the magazine elected to surround him with the in-the-buff beauties instead. (What were they thinking?)

And for you Twi-hards, Pattinson said that despite the change of pace as a (non-vampire) leading man in Remember Me, he'll still happy to don the fangs for the camera if the right role is offered.
"I don't have anything particularly against vampire films," he said. "They're great fun to work on and people really like them -- I could do it for a while longer."
Remember Me also stars Pierce Brosnan and Emilie de Ravin, and hits theaters March 12.
