In the newest episode of 19 Kids and Counting that aired on Tuesday night the littlest Duggar, Josie Brooklyn, is able to be held by her mama Michelle again. She is a mere 2 pounds 3 ½ ounces and is 47 days old and eats about one tablespoon of breast milk an hour.
“She’s an energetic young lady,” one of the nurses tells Michelle. This is the second time Michelle is shown holding little Josie and she couldn’t be happier. “She’s like a baby kitten,” is how Michelle describes her daughter who has been in the hospital since her premature birth in December. “I picture her as a precious little gift from God. That is her nickname, my precious little kitten.” Michelle is in the hospital with her daughter cradling her and sitting in a rocking chair. “We are thankful to God and to those who are taking care of her,” Michelle says about the care Josie receives while in the hospital.

The Duggars moved three hours away from their home to live in Little Rock, Arkansas while little Josie has to stay in the hospital and the oldest girls are taking a road trip home to Springdale to pickup some of their belongings from the family home. Dad Jim Bob takes little James to help him get the car ready for the girls' trip. Michelle talked about how important it is for Dad Jim Bob to teach the boys “big boy things” so they’ll know what to do as they grow up.
James is a big help to his Dad and says “I was spending time with my Dad and learning about cars.”
They filled the air in the tires of the family suburban and the pop up read “The air the entire Duggar family breathes in a single day could fill the tires of over 100 SUVs.”

The final part of the episode is where the Today show has a live segment with the family, and they all have to get up before the crack of dawn for the show. Michelle talks about why they chose to introduce little Josie to the world. “We’re sharing a challenge in our life,” she said. “This is hard, we’re scared.”
The family all enjoy the live shot, even if little Jordyn has to be taken out for being fussy during the show!
Next week the Duggar boys take a trip back to Springdale and it seems like they might be up to some silly antics while they’re there!
