An unadorned Kate Winslet stepped out of a New York cab on Saturday without her wedding ring.

For months, the Titanic star had maintained her seven-year marriage to director-husband Sam Mendes was still going strong.

She even wore the wedding band to the Oscars earlier this month.

But now that the pair has admitted they have been separated for months, the actress has appeared in public for the first time without her ring.
