While it may have broken tradition this year by moving from the beach to downtown Los Angeles, the 25th Film Independent Spirit Awards delivered its usual star power.

Usually a casual runner up to the Oscars, celebrities dressed up more formally to fit the city atmosphere. Up In The Air's Vera Farmiga and host Eddie Izzard were early arrivals.
