When Jessica Simpson first hit the Billboard Hot 100 in 1999 at the age of 19, she became an international sex symbol overnight. With her bouncy, blonde hair, big blue eyes and covetable, slender figure, the young star could wear anything she wanted, and she did!

Looking painfully thin in 2005, from her rigorous Dukes of Hazzard workout regiment, Jessica’s weight war began, exploding in 2009, when she took to the stage in Florida, wearing unflattering, high-waisted jeans, which spawned a media frenzy.

This inspired Jess to develop her VH1 television show, The Price Of Beauty, which follows her and pals Ken Paves and Cacee Cobb around the globe, as they reveal the lengths women go to, in order to meet their cultural standards of beauty.
