Kate took a break away from her dancing shoes Friday morning and headed to her favorite nail salon for a manicure pick-me-up. And as RadarOnline.com’s photos show, the multi-tasking champ also got an energy fix from a healthy red apple while hurrying back to her car.

Kate’s initial appearance on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars earned less than stellar scores by the judges. She’s determined to do better next week and has been practicing hard at home in PA the last few days in the dance studio built into her basement.
