Martha Stewart Pulled Her Hair Out Over Ex-Husband, Says Pal

Martha Stewart’s former best friend who testified against her and helped send her to prison is releasing a tell-all book, and RadarOnline.com has the juicy details.

Mariana Pasternak, who was Martha’s best friend for 20 years, is talking for the first time about the high profile insider trading trial, Martha’s divorce and the women’s two decade long relationship.

In her new memoir, The Best Of Friends: Martha and Me, Pasternak reveals how Martha pulled her hair out to deal with her divorce from ex husband Andy Stewart.  The book details Martha’s tirades against Andy.  At one point she yelled at him, "Take off your coat! I just paid six hundred dollars for that coat. You are ruining it already."

And Mariana says when finding love Martha "could be as naive as a little girl with men."

For 20 years the women were inseparable. In an excerpt on the Good Morning America website, it describes the moment the two met when Mariana was having a party in Westport, Connecticut:

"Hi," she said with willful cheerfulness. "I'm Martha. Your neighbor. Thought I might stop for a glass of water before biking up the hill to my house."

I invited her to sit down with us, but she declined. I called out, "Everyone, this is our neighbor, Martha," then went inside to get her some water”

Mariana says they traveled together many times. In fact, the domestic diva would send Mariana a bill with interest. It was on one of those famous trips to Mexico that Martha and Mariana talked about insider trading.

Mariana hasn’t talked to Martha since the trial and says she doesn’t find any reason to talk to her now. However, she says, she’s happy Martha is back on TV where she belongs.

The book: The Best Of Friends: Martha and Me came out Tuesday.
