RadarOnline.com's Tina Malave was backstage and got reactions from the stars on Doherty's exit, and it’s clear the 38-year-old actress was liked and well-respected by her ballroom peers.
"I loved her, I thought she was awesome, I was a big Brenda Walsh-90210 fan," ESPN's Erin Andrews said of Doherty, adding that "she's nothing like the media's created her to be ... she's humanized herself."
Dancer Anna Trebunskaya said one of her favorite aspects of working with celebrities like Doherty is that "you get to meet the real person" as opposed to however that celeb is portrayed in the headlines.

"It's really a treat," Trebunskaya said. "It's really an honor."
Kate Gosselin agreed, saying that she is enjoying rubbing elbows with other household names and getting to know them on a personal level.
"I think that's why I wanted to do this, to surround myself with people that are on TV, and who behind the scenes are normal, just like me," Gosselin told us. "Everybody's sweet, you don't want to see anyone go, we're like a family."
Dancing With The Stars airs at 8/7c Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC.
