After a modestly successful debut, Shannen Doherty seemed all but assured she'd keep her place on Dancing With The Stars. She was wrong.

Doherty, the first contestant eliminated from the ABC ballroom competition Tuesday, appeared on Good Morning America Wednesday with dance partner Mark Ballas to discuss the early exit, and RadarOnline.com has the clip for you.

"It was Pam Anderson and myself, and I definitely think that was surprising for both of us," the Beverly Hills 90210 star said of both 90s vixens being having the least amount of votes from viewers.

Even if Doherty, 38, had stayed in, Ballas said he was hobbled by a knee injury he suffered during practice, and had to take painkillers to make it through the night. Ballas debated with Doherty as to how far he could have gone down the stretch, but conceded he was not close to 100 percent.

Ballas defended his partner in spite of the early exit, saying "she did excellent."

Dancing With The Stars airs at 8/7c Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC.
