RadarOnline.com has learned new details in the moments before actor Corey Haim died Wednesday morning.

Los Angeles County Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter says that when emergency personnel arrived at Haim’s apartment building near Burbank Wednesday morning, the former 80s heartthrob was alive, but weak and complaining of flu-like symptoms.  He felt weak, got out of bed, and fell to his knees.

They helped Haim into an ambulance where he was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Burbank, California. It was there that he was pronounced dead at 2:15 am Wednesday.

Winter also said no illegal drugs were found at the scene, but four prescription bottles were found inside the apartment, which he shared with his mother.

An autopsy will be performed to determine the exact cause of death, but earlier Wednesday, police say it appears Haim died of an accidental drug overdose.

A woman who worked at a convenience store located inside the apartment complex said Haim was in the store just yesterday and purchased some food and cigarettes and appeared to be upbeat and in good spirits. She said he was popular with other tenants and told us she’s shocked by his death.
