Balloon Boy Dad Richard Heene To Finish Jail Sentence At Home
March 25 2010, Published 7:41 a.m. ET
Balloon boy dad Richard Heene will finish the rest of his 90-day jail sentence at his Colorado home wearing an ankle monitor, RadarOnline.com has learned.
Since beginning his sentence January 11, Heene has completed most of it in jail and with a work-release unit, Larimer County Sheriff's spokeswoman Eloise Campanella said.
After Heene falsely reported his 6-year-old son Falcon had floated off in a homemade helium balloon on October 15, a worldwide audience watched the bizarre incident unfold as the Mylar balloon soared 7,000 feet over eastern Colorado -- with no boy in it.
