Missing Growing Pains actor Andrew Koenig was not taking the anti-depressants he was prescribed for his depression issues, according to his sister Danielle, who appeared on Larry King Live Tuesday night to talk about the ongoing efforts to find her brother, who has not been seen in ten days.

Danielle Koenig said that her family is "very, very worried about him -- and we just want to find him.

"I know he was on anti-depressants," Danielle told King of her missing brother. "And I just found out, through a friend he was visiting, that he has not been on them for a while -- I did not realize that."

Danielle said Andrew had never tried to harm himself, to her knowledge.

Andrew's father, Star Trek actor Walter Koenig, said the last time he had heard from his son by phone was on February 9, and the last place Andrew was spotted was a bakery in the Stanley Park area of Vancouver February 14.

Andrew appeared in 27 episodes of Growing Pains as the character Richard "Boner" Stabone over five seasons in the late 1980s, but hasn't found show biz success to the same degree since leaving the popular sitcom.

Danielle said Andrew hadn't abandoned his Hollywood hopes, as he was "always writing and directing.

"It's sort of difficult some times to make your way in this business," she said. "Not that that was what his depression was, necessarily."

The Koenigs are asking anyone with information about Andrew to contact Vancouver police at 604-717-2534.
