VIDEO: Lost's Finale Date Revealed, Producers Tell Jimmy Kimmel

Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday the exact date of the popular ABC show's final episode.
In 2007, ABC and the show creators announced Lost would come to an end in 2010 but the date of the final episode was not revealed until Tuesday night. The 121st, and final episode of Lost will not air on it's regularly scheduled day --Tuesday but will end on a Sunday night on May 23.

Cuse said a major part of the show's success was that the end date was announced in 2007, and the creators have been able to play out the program's arc on their terms. The drama, based on a group of plane crash survivors, is one of the most expensive series on TV to produce, with its’ ensemble cast and Hawaiian backdrop.
Lost: The Final Season airs Tuesday nights at 9/8pm central on ABC.
