QVC At The Oscars

Wondering what to wear for your Oscar viewing party? Or, maybe you're lucky enough to be attending the actual Academy Awards ceremony? Tune in to QVC's two three-hour live broadcasts March 5 (6 to 9 p.m.) and 6th (6 to 9 p.m) to buy everything you'll need for the big night, from sparkly dresses, to fun accessories and even some products made especially for the event. The live red carpet event at the Four Seasons Hotel on Oscar weekend, features plenty of celebs and of course, plenty of goodies to buy.
With cameras in tow, Isaac Mizrahi, Rachel Zoe, Marc Bouwer, Lori Goldstein and other QVC designers will work the party crowd, showcasing products and contents of gift bags. And QVC host Lisa Robertson, perched on a circular stage, will do what she does best -- sell.
What will you see/buy on the Red Carpet ? How about Cindy Crawford's Meaningful Beauty glowing serum or Rachel Zoe's specially made $135 "simulated" diamond bracelet, or perhaps you'll fall for IsaacMizrahiLive's $58.50 strapless denim cocktail dress. plus pently of and new product line launches, including jewelry from tabloid TV show host-turned-QVC designer Nancy O'Dell. Joan Rivers will also "pre-sell" a glitzy necklace that she will wear on the actual Oscars red carpet, while covering fashion for E!.

It's a natural synergy really, since the Oscars sets fashion styles and colors for seasons to come. "Lots of women watch the red carpet to see the new jewelry of the season and the new hair color, and we're lucky enough to work with so many of the artists who are actually dressing and preparing celebrities for the event," says Claire Watts, president of U.S. commerce for QVC. "We think our customers will love experiencing that allure, and being able to translate it into fashion they can buy right away."
It's a way for the the rest of us to have our own red-capret moment!
