Countdown To Oscar: Red Carpet Worthy Designers

So many designers, so many dresses to choose from! This is the dilemma facing every starlet who will hit the red carpet for the Academy Awards on March 7. Out of all the choices, we are sure to see a handful of couture collections at this year’s show. These are our predictions of who will get starlets on the Best Dressed list.

Giorgio Armani has been a long time favorite of Hollywood’s style scene, and sitting front row at his lovely, lunar Spring 2010 Armani Privè runway show was Anne Hathaway.  Will the gorgeous starlet, who wore Armani to last year’s show, wear another of the iconic designer’s creations?

Jason Wu established himself as a top in haute couture, by gowning the First Lady Michelle Obama on Inauguration Night.  He went on to accumulate a celeb fan base, which includes Natalie Portman, Zoe Saldana and Inglourious Basterds star Diane Kruger, who is definitely a Wu contender for this year’s awards.  The gorgeous actress stunned at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, in a custom, mustard-yellow Wu creation.

The late Alexander McQueen has been gowning the glamorous for years, and his newest designs popped up on the carpet of the SAG and the Golden Globes Awards. There is a good chance that one of our leading ladies will honor the daring designer.
