Vienna Gerardi is one of the most talked about contestants in Bachelor history, with reports swirling that she was a love cheat that stole money from her Iraq veteran ex-husband, and a reputation that’s been firmly cemented on the hit ABC show as the resident bad girl.

But Vienna almost didn’t even appear on the show, as RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned it was Vienna’s mom who applied on her behalf, without her daughter’s knowledge!

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Vienna’s  best friend Rachael Todd reveals that when Vienna auditioned for love, she had never even watched the show!

“I had never watched The Bachelor and neither had Vienna, but now I’m watching it obviously because I want to make sure that she’s okay,” Rachael tells RadarOnline.com.

Rachael, a stunning beauty queen who holds the Miss Florida crown, tells RadarOnline.com that Vienna went into the show believing it would just be a bit of fun.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW: Cheating, Stealing Claims Not True Says Best Friend Of Bachelor Villain Vienna

“She called me one day and said, I’m going to a Bachelor audition, and I was like why?  She said, ‘My mom signed me up and it’s going to be silly.'

“It was raining that day and she went in her jeans and a T-shirt and all the other women came in looking like supermodels. She said, ‘apparently they didn’t hear about the rain.’”

Rachael and Vienna put together her make-shift audition tape for ABC themselves – it consisted of Vienna playing with her dog, doing sit-ups and just joking around. They even added some of Vienna’s unique points of view.

“She sat at the table and told us her theories - she had theories about aliens. And we did everything in one take. It was the silliest video I’ve ever seen and we sent it in.  I remember she put it in the mailbox and said, ‘There goes nothing!’”

According to Rachael though, ABC loved Vienna’s video and chose her to be one of the final 25 women in a season that’s been touted as being the “most beautiful” ever on The Bachelor.

“We both couldn’t believe that she had been chosen for The Bachelor because she went into it so nonchalantly,” Rachael says.

It seems that ABC producers are not the only fans of Vienna. Jake has kept her on as one of his final favorites and despite the other girl’s obvious loathing for her she remains one of his obvious favorites.
