Jersey Shore's Snooki, DJ Pauly D In New York State of Mind

Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio were all smiles Monday, as reality TV’s newest superstars mugged for photographers outside the MTV studios in Times Square in New York City.
Polizzi, a sassy 20-year-old native of Marlboro, New York, sported a loud hat, puffy black jacket and designer purse while visiting the MTV home base. DelVecchio paired a black leather Ralph Lauren jacket with a contemporary shirt, blue jeans and loud diamond earrings to top off his young, East Coast look.

Despite criticism from Italian-American groups -- and the loss of some key sponsors -- the controversial MTV breakout continues to surge in popularity, with plenty of dust-ups, hook-ups and break-ups fueling each episode.
