It was a conservative night in New York City, as some of the most critically acclaimed actors gathered together at the swanky Cipriani for The National Board of Review of Motion Pictures Gala. While Up in the Air was the big winner of the evening, the stars of the Oscar contending flick were not all dressed in trophy deserving threads!

George Clooney and his stunning leading lady (in real life, that is!) Elisabetta Canalis looked seriously glam, classically coutured in black, while his onscreen love interest, Vera Farmiga had a fashion flop in an ill-fitting black dress.

Lake Bell was the red carpet style siren, looking absolutely smashing from head to toe in a sculpted black strapless, which she impeccably accessorized with a statement necklace.

Budding fashionista Carey Mulligan channeled Audrey Hepburn, totally ready for Breakfast at Tiffany’s in a sophisticated black dress.
