Poltergeist star Zelda Rubinstein has passed away, RadarOnline.com has exclusively confirmed.

In December, the petite actress had been taken off of life support following the failure of two of her major organs. She is best know for playing the medium Tangina in the 1982 blockbuster Poltergeist and its sequels.
“At 1:59 this morning Zelda left us. She was very much at peace when she finally rested. I'm so sad right now, but I'm glad I was here to be with her and hold her hand,” a friend of the actress told RadarOnline.com.

“Even though she won't be with us physically, I have so many good memories To hold on to for the rest of my life! The world has definitely lost someone very special today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With great sadness, XXXX”
Her agent Eric Stevens confirmed that she died of natural causes at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She was hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center about two months ago after suffering from a mild heart attack. "She had ongoing health issues and unfortunatley they finally overtook her," Stevens said.
