The Princess And The Frog Hops To Front Of Box Office

Somewhere, Kermit must be smiling that a frog is number one.
Disney's animated fairytale The Princess And The Frog hopped to the front of the box office, taking in an impressive $24,500,000 in its debut weekend in wide release.
The film opened in limited release in New York and Los Angeles on November 25, and so far has taken in $27,379,870.
Sandra Bullock's football drama The Blind Side scored another touchdown, taking in a strong $14,700,000 in its third week for a total of $149,461,539 to date.

The Morgan Freeman/Matt Damon 'Nelson Mandela' drama Invictus opened with $9,500,000.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon came in number four with $7,700,000, and so far, has earned an impressive $267,060,583.
And more good news for the 'Mouse': another Disney film made the top five. A Christmas Carol, starring funnyman Jim Carrey, earned $6,800,000 for a grand total of $124,392,907 to date.
