Michael Jackson’s older brother Jermaine exclusively told RadarOnline.com that his family's upcoming A&E reality series, The Jack5ons A Family Dynasty, will set the record straight about the world famous musical clan.
"We wanted to connect with the fans, cause there's been so much written that's not been true about this family for 40 years," he told RadarOnline.com's reporter Rachel Smith on the red carpet of the show's premiere at Boulevard 3 in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. "It was not scripted ... we got upset at times, and at the end of the day, we wanted to show that we settle things as a family."
A show insider leaked us a few details about the upcoming series, including an episode featuring Michael's three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket, attending a backyard barbecue with their extended family.
"They are going to be in that episode, it will probably air about halfway through the series," our insider told us. "They are there with their grandmother. We get to see them playing and watch how they interact with their family.
"Jermaine definitely causes a lot of headaches for his brothers,” our source said. “He is always missing in action -- usually he is off doing his hair. He didn't make it to the Jimmy Kimmel show with them, and when they called to see where he was he blamed his no-show on pink eye! That caused a huge fight!"
Randy Jackson said that the family originally intended to do the show in January, five months before Michael Jackson’s death on June 25 thrust them back into the spotlight. He told us he hopes the show will lead into "touring, records and everything you can think of."
Tito Jackson said he is still very much in mourning for his brother Michael.

"It's a hurting thing, you know," he said. "I think about him constantly, and that I know his spirits are with us, and we pray for him and we miss him dearly."
The premiere party was as lavish as one of the late King Of Pop's diamond-studded gloves, as A&E spared no expense with an endless stream of food and champagne. The crowd was filled with friends and family, but not everyone made it, as Janet Jackson was noticeably absent, as were Michael's three kids.
Other celebs we caught up with on the red carpet included comics Shawn and Marlon Wayans, who re-enacted their favorite Jackson 5 song, Can You Feel It, and Wayne's World beauty Tia Carrere, who told us, "I think I was learning my ABCs when I heard them sing, 'ABC, its easy as 1-2-3!'"
The Jack5ons A Family Dynasty premieres on A&E Sunday, December 13 at 9/8c.
