EXCLUSIVE: Tiger Woods Says He And Wife Are Boring; Gets Slammed By Fans On Own Site
Dec. 10 2009, Published 12:16 p.m. ET
Tiger Woods is being slammed by fans on his own Web site and his lack of public relations spin control has resulted in embarrassing statements from the golfer being left published, including telling one fan that he and his wife are "kind of boring."
In the rough wake of his cheating scandal, the golfer has stayed out of public sight, but his Web site is still up and users are able to post comments. The site, once a virtual shrine to all things Tiger, has now become a forum for people disgusted with the golfer to vent their anger. And while some have also expressed support for the golfing great, there are also some sections that seem particularly disingenuous now that his multiple affairs have been exposed.
In one Q & A on the site, Tiger is asked: "I was just wondering if you and your wife ever go out on dates? I mean, I never see you out in People magazine, and I know the paparazzi are everywhere! "
The answer, still posted on the site from October 14, reads: "I think Elin and I have avoided a lot of media attention because we're kind of boring. When we do go out, we like to go to the movies. When we go for dinner, it's usually at the same few restaurants. Mostly, people are very nice and just want to say hi. There are a lot of evenings we'll just rent a movie and stay at home. Sometimes, friends will come over, and we'll play video games." Clearly, now that his secret cheating life has been exposed, many fans feel duped and are furious. Here are some of the negative comments posted in the past few weeks:

"Tiger this website is a joke - we now know that the image you put forward here is not who you really are. You should take this site down and hide yourself in shame. One affair can be explained but if what we're hearing now in the press is even close to the truth, your actions are inexcusable."
And...
"What a phony!!! Anything you say from now on will make me puke. You don't deserve the family you have brought so much pain and suffering to. Did you never stop to think how this will affect your children when they grow up? Shame Shame Shame. Never again will I support you."

"OMG!! What a phoney!! I bet this has gone on for years. A fake and a fraud!! Not just 1 nite stands but little mini 3-4 month affairs. So when did he have time to love his wife and texting even after he was in their home. Tiger you are disgusting are you that full of yourself that made it okay to deceive your family and your fans."
And.."Dude. I mean...really? Become the Charlie Sheen of the golf world, whatever, but don't take your innocent babies and wife down with you."
Still, even in the midst of the worst storm of his life, Tiger still generates some loyalty and sympathy. One person wrote: "STILL a hero to so many souls, you're the greatest, mistakes dont make the man, its the lessons he takes away from them."

Another person posted:
"Tiger - best wishes to you and your family... I won't forget all the good things you do for charity every day of your life." Through it all, there was an undercurrent of disbelief, as seen in this comment: "Say it ain't so Tiger ! And if it is, what we you thinking?"

And as more women come forward daily claiming affairs with Tiger, 33, his answers to certain questions on his own site will continue to haunt him. When one fan asked if he enjoyed playing so far away from home, Tiger answered: "It's very difficult to leave Elin and the children, and I'm sure it's only going to get tougher."
Those may be the most accurate words he wrote.
