It could only happen to Charlie Sheen – turns out the hellraiser actor’s Colorado arresting officer Rick Magnuson once sent letters to Osama Bin Laden and has admitted to doing illegal drugs, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively.
The Counter Terrorism Unit of Union County, NJ investigated the letters sent by Magnuson, who claimed they were part of an "art project."
What's more, Magnuson - who cuffed Sheen after his Christmas Day bust-up with third wife Brooke Mueller in Aspen – posted a video where he simulates pleasuring himself in the Mojave Desert.

The wacky cop defended his actions as ‘artful’ to a local reporter who confronted him about the video that is still on You Tube despite their strict regulations. A self-described artist, Magnuson said the 12-minute film, titled Hole, is evidence of his self-expressive side. He made it on his 40th birthday, which appropriately fell on April 1st 2005.
In the video, Magnuson is seen digging a hole and then, in his own words, what follows is a "symbolic reseeding of the earth."
But there's nothing symbolic about his bizarre actions.
As part of his election campaign Magnuson vowed to employ undercover officers in order to be tougher in the so-called “war on drugs” than the presiding Sheriff Bob Braudis, whom he lost to by a near 10 to 1 margin.
But then, shockingly, when he was questioned during a live television debate in 2006 Magnuson boasted that he used illegal drugs while employed in law enforcement – adding that he used them only once while in Amsterdam where they are legal.

He was also reprimanded by his department in 2006 after he wrote letters to both Osama Bin Laden and George W. Bush as part of an ‘art project’.
The Counter Terrorism Unit of Union County, NJ, complained that it had spent a lot of time and money investigating his letters.
Magnuson later posted photographs of the returned envelopes on his website along with bizarre titles such as; ‘George Bush Ashes To Ashes’, ‘Osama bin Laden Uses Prostitutes’ and ‘Osama bin Laden Suck My (expletives)’.

Magnuson also enjoys filming Mexican men who he claims are in the country illegally to post on You Tube after he hires the ‘undocumented workers’ to do various things for him.

One local reporter told RadarOnline.com Online.com: “It’s widely known that he is a very colorful character and it was totally ironic that he was the guy that arrested Charlie Sheen – it was like a Hollywood script.”
