On Wednesday, Amy Smart and Daryl Hannah joined forces with the Environmental Media Association to challenge ten southern Californian cities to enact changes that will get them recognized as a California Green Community by 2012.
Joining the women at the press conference on Wednesday were the mayors from the ten nominated cities which include Los Angeles and Santa Monica. Late last month, EMA marked its 20th anniversary with a star-studded awards bash honoring film and television's role in promoting environmental awareness.
