Ménage A' Trouble: Group Calls For Boycott Of Racy Gossip Girl Episode
Nov. 9 2009, Published 4:30 a.m. ET
Monday night's episode of Gossip Girl, titled 3SOME, is "reckless and irresponsible," according to Tim Winter, president of the Parents Television Council, who are calling for CW Network affiliate stations to not air the program.
The episode, which features a bedroom scene with three of the show's characters, is "expressly targeted to impressionable teenagers," the PTC said in a statement responding to the brewing controversy.

The PTC asked, "Will you now be complicit in establishing a precedent and expectation that teenagers should engage in behaviors heretofore associated primarily with adult films?"
The CW said that Gossip Girl is targeted towards 18- to 34-year-old women, with the average viewer's age being 27.
Gossip Girl airs on the CW Network Mondays at 9/8c.
