She may be many years away from needing it, but Kate Hudson is already looking forward to a little Botox. The gorgeous actress gave a candid interview about her looks, those pesky engagement rumors to New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, and why she gave up drinking.

Kate & Alex Take Their Romance Coast-to-Coast

“Everyone’s so obsessed with who gets Botox, but it’s great! Are you kidding?” she said in the December issue of Elle. “The fact that women can avoid going under the knife and get a little Botox treat and not have to worry about it? I’m glad it’s there for me when it’s time.”

The toned blonde also recently shed twenty pounds: but all in the name of art rather than vanity. Hudson recently gave up alcohol to prepare to play a terminally ill woman who falls for her doctor. She laughed, “‘I love my glass of wine. I love tequila. To be in New York for two weeks and not have one beverage, I’m not sure I’ve ever done that!”

Speaking of New York, she was a little more exasperated when it came to her relationship with baseball player Rodriguez and the rumors that the two are engaged. “Did you know that it was this one, on my right hand?” Hudson said of rumors spurred by a certain ring she was spotted wearing.  “I hear about this and I’m like ‘Why would I even respond? What would I say if you’re going to lie about something ridiculous?’”
