The 41st NAACP Image Awards will air on Fox next spring, the network announced Thursday.
“We are thrilled to partner with FOX once again on the live broadcast” executive producer Vicangelo Bulluck told RadarOnline.com. “The NAACP is looking forward to celebrating this time of change with viewers by showcasing some of the greatest talents of our time.”
Clayola Brown, the show's chairman, said the occasion was especially significant because, "after a year of firsts for our nation, we are proud to honor once again the achievements of people of color in music, film, television and literature with the image awards.
Past NAACP Image Award shows have been highlighted by appearances from icons like Pres. Barack Obama, Ray Charles and Beyonce Knowles, among others.
Nominations will be announced on Jan.6; the show will be broadcast live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on Friday, Feb. 26 on FOX at 8/7c.
