Two sources familiar with the situation exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that the teen was arrested for having narcotics in his possession.
As we first reported Tuesday, the younger Penn was busted at the school he attends in the posh Malibu area.
At this time, authorities are not revealing what kind of drugs Penn had in his possession.
The drug arrest is sure to be fodder for Sean Penn’s adversaries, especially those who are outraged by his politics, and his meeting with Hugo Chavez.
