A close friend of David Allen Tyner believes that the former Marine may have suffered Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after serving with the US army in Iraq, RadarOnline.com can reveal.
Tyner, 28, has been arrested in connection with the murder of pregnant Cathouse prostitute Brooke Phillips and five others in a horror shooting and house fire in Oklahoma City.
Jason Nicholson, a friend of Tyner’s who was also promoting his cage fighting career, doesn’t believe that the former soldier would commit such a heinous act.
He told RadarOnline.com: “The David Tyner that I knew would not have done that crime.
“I would like to think that he’s not guilty but then again you never know.
“He was a laid-back happy-go-lucky guy but I do think that he suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder from serving with the army abroad.
“I told that to him a few times and he simply smiled and laughed it off but I think he did affect him.
“David is a native American Indian and he was determined to make it big in the cage fighting world – he didn’t want to be just some $300 a night bar brawler.
“A lot of the white promoters tried to take advantage of him but he was determined to succeed and provide for his young daughter.
“I don’t know how he ended up in that house or who he knew but I can tell you he wasn’t the type of guy who would go to strip clubs or do a lot of drugs and alcohol.

“I spoke with him just before he gave himself-up to the police and I advised him to do this because it would look bad if he didn’t.
“A lot of his friends and family are sticking by the guy and we are trying to get some money together to help with his attorney’s fees.”
Tyner was a two time state champion wrestler and a state- runner-up at Locust Grove High School as a senior in 2000 – he also wrestled at the University Of Tennessee Chatanooga and later joined the Marine Corps.
