Walking through the corridors of MSG, Garfunkel asked a show staffer for a tissue for his nose. "The staffer explained that they were late getting Art to the his holding room, but there was a bathroom on the way and he could stop in and grab one," a source told exclusively.

But that wasn't good enough for the Grammy winner. "He literally stopped walking and refused to go another step until he got a tissue," the source said. "He was behaving like such a child. He was very agitated and angry. And this is a guy who's been busted for marijuana possession! Shouldn't he be calmer?" our spy laughed.

The staffer tried to pacify the musical icon by grabbing some paper towel off another passing worker. No dice.

"I said a tissue," Garfunkel yelled at her, throwing it back in her direction. "Not paper towel! I don't want this." Finally, another staffer was sent sprinting to get Garfunkel his coveted tissue and he resumed walking.

The concert will air on HBO November 29th and will also feature Metallica, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and more. And if you see Garfunkel on the streets in the meantime, toss him some Kleenex!
