Dr. Drew Pinsky, board certified in addiction medicine tells RadarOnline.com that while Michael Lohan's motivation for releasing tape recorded phone calls between his ex-wife Dina, and Lindsay may be questionable, it doesn't make Michael a monster.

"Whether or not he had questionable motives, I don't know, but I'm convinced that he is very concerned for his daughter," Dr Drew tells RadarOnline.com in an exclusive interview. "Parents do desperate things to get their children into rehab. I have seen parents do crazy things like have their children kidnapped, all in attempts to get them sober.

"Michael has a different platform that he is using but it doesn't seem like he is exploiting Lindsay. He wants his daughter well."

Dr. Drew has candid advice for Michael, "I would tell Michael to focus on his own sobriety. The prognostic impact that it has on your children is so helpful to them. I would get everyone in Lindsay's life in Al-Anon. Al-Anon would change the situation as it would get everyone in her life out of the dance that they are all currently in, and it does help the addict."
Michael Lohan Fears Prescription Drugs Are Killing Lindsay
Dr. Drew does say that Lindsay, "will make a great sober person one day, if she survives, and I truly hope that nothing horrible happens to her but I have a horrible feeling in my bones that something is going to happen to this woman." Dr. Drew says that unfortunately it appears that Lindsay sadly just doesn't want to pursue sobriety.
