Calle 13 Goes 13-For-13 At Latin Grammy Awards

Calle 13, a hip-hop tandem from Puerto Rico, took home all 13 of the awards they were nominated for -- including record and album of the year -- at Thursday's 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“This award, I have to dedicate to many people," René Pérez, who raps in Calle 13 as Residente, said, adding the recently-deceased Argentine folk singer Mercedes Sosa was a major source of inspiration for the pair. "We love her very much... her music will live forever."

More of the night's winners included Laura Pausini, whose Primavera Anticipada won best female pop vocal album; Luis Enrique, whose Ciclos won best salsa album and Wisin y Yandel, who won best urban song for Abusadora.
The Latin Grammy Awards was broadcast on Univision.
The 2010 Grammy Awards will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan. 31.
