VIDEO: Sheriff Wants To Re-Interview Balloon Boy Family

In light of Thursday night’s CNN Larry King Live interview, hosted by Wolf Blizter, where “balloon boy” Falcon Heene, said to his parents, “You guys said we did this for the show,” the Larimer County Sheriff’s Department will “revisit the possibility of a re-interview” with the family, said department spokeswoman Eloise Campanella on Friday.

For their part, the parents, Richard and Mayumi, say their 6-year-old son was confused when he made that statement - the world’s media had descended on the Heene’s front lawn asking all sorts of questions, and that was what Falcon was referring to.

There have been calls that the whole incident was one big publicity stunt, with Falcon’s statement adding fuel to the fire.

On ABC’s Good Morning America, Friday, Sheriff Jim Alderton said, “Obviously, with some of the interviews that took place in the media last night, additional questions came up, so we will be contacting them again this morning. Hopefully they’ll be cooperative and we do intend to pursue additional interviews.”
