Slumdog Star Freida Pinto Saves Fan From Speeding Car

Slumdog Millionaire beauty Freida Pinto rescued a fan in London after she fell into the path of an oncoming car.

The 25-year-old actress was shopping in the capital’s West End on Tuesday evening with her Slumdog co-star and boyfriend Dev Patel when the fan ran towards them to say hello.

But the actress who was being followed by paparazzi turned around an accidentally banged into the woman sending her flying into the middle of bustling

Regent’s Street as the car approached.

A witness explained: “As Freida turned she bumped into the fan because she did not see her. But she ran into the middle of the road and helped the woman out of the car’s path making sure that the woman was okay – it was quite a shock for everyone.”

Fortunately, neither the fan nor Pinto were hurt in the incident and no police were called to the scene.”

Pinto is in London filming Woody Allen’s un-named new film with Josh Brolin while her boyfriend Patel, 19, has been keeping her company.

The pair met on the set of Slumdog Millionaire that went on to scoop eight Oscars in which they play on screen lovers Latika and Jamal.

At first, the pair denied there was any romance between them as they always hid from photographers - but there cover was quickly blown by their co-star Anil Kapoor.

He revealed: “When I meet them I feel there is something magical happening – they share an amazing chemistry.”
