Ricky Gervais is hitting America again in a big way: he has been named the host for the 67th Annual Golden Globes.
The ceremony has been host-free since 1995 and the comedian will be the sole host. Gervais has a good history with the awards show. He picked up a Golden Globe in 2004 for The Office and was nominated for Extras last year. He has also been a presenter in past years.

The Golden Globes will air on January 17, 2010, at 8pm on NBC.
