Another week, another alcohol-related incident involving David Hasselhoff. The 57-year-old Knight Rider star -- after days of hard drinking at his St Martin's Lane Hotel in London, England -- accidentally hit a doctor called up to help him, and had to be taken to a rehab unit at nearby Capio Nightingale Hospital.
Hasselhoff, the UK Sun reported, was in England for Simon Cowell's birthday party last Saturday, and was so hammered he had to be escorted out of the hotel via a side door.
When Hasselhoff arrived, hotel guest Maria Weston told the Sun that he was behaving belligerently.
"He was abusing all the staff, shouting at everyone," she said. "We were shocked -- you'd think he was just some drunk, not a big star."
A source close to Hasselhoff told the paper that Hasselhoff had ruined two mattresses after urinating all over himself in his hotel bed, which led his assistant to call Dr. Paul Ettlinger to help him detox.
"David was furious and lashed out at him, but mistakenly hit the doctor," the source told the paper. "They decided they had no option but to lock him in the basement until an ambulance arrived.
A patient at the facility told the UK Sun: "He was recognized immediately; everyone was thrilled The Hoff had arrived and wanted to meet him, but the nurses were anxious to make sure he had a quiet time to recover, and were telling him he needed vitamins and iron to build himself up."
Hasselhoff spent two nights in the hospital until he was discharged Thursday; as RadarOnline.com previously reported, Hasselhoff has been hospitalized for alcohol poisoning on at least five occasions.
