She was the blonde haired little girl who stole America's hearts when she appeared on stage with her famous parents Sonny Bono and Cher.
But these days, Chaz Bono is almost unrecognizable as she morphs into a man before the world as part of a very painful transgender switch.
The latest step of the change was witnessed when a bulky Chaz stepped out in West Hollywood over the weekend with short dark hair, a red t-shirt and cargo pants.

Cher's off-spring has been going through a full sex change over the summer which has included hormone treatments which can leave the body looking bloated.
During his trip-out, Chaz took sometime to a hug a male friend although there was no sign of his pretty partner Jennifer Elia.
Once the sex-change is fully completed it is rumored that the pair could try and exchange vows in some kind of commitment ceremony.

Bono has faced a life-long struggle with her identity and only came-out as a lesbian in 1995 when she graced the cover of The Advocate magazine which was just a year before her then-partner Joan died of lymphoma.
Both her parents had trouble recognizing their child's sexuality with her former Congressman father actually voting to deny same sex marriages before he died in a skiing accident.
However, after announcing the transgender procedure superstar Cher publicly backed the decision made by her daughter to become a man.
