Katy Perry celebrated her birthday Saturday night by throwing neon paint at her guests - including Taylor Swift and Russell Brand.
The singer, 25, held a Charlie and The Chocolate Factory-themed fete at L.A. restaurant The Beach. Guests were asked to wear white - they just weren't told why. "They got a little crazy with the paint!" a partygoer told RadarOnline.com "I wasn't expecting it but everyone got painted - even Taylor Swift!"

Katy and Russell arrived hand in hand to the technicolor evening, which began at 7pm with a sit down dinner. "They were totally loved up!" reported an eyewitness. "Katy was having a ball and Russell was catering to her every whim. At one point he was down on his knees bowing and offering her a huge swirly lollipop. She grabbed it from his hands and pretended to knight him with it."
In keeping with the theme of the night candy and Oompah Loompahs were everywhere and bright colored lights flashed at the entrance giving the whole party a fantastical feel. "It was very surreal and very well done. A really great party!" raved a guest.
DWTS Julianne Hough and Taylor stuck together at the party - even painting their initials on one another while giggling.
